Homeworld: Sosel
Description: Tuatara are one form of Taniwha, supernatural protectors of
the rivers and the sea. They appear as enormous lizards and have
reputations both good and evil, some have stories of massacre,
human-eating, and woman-stealing to their credit, while others have the
respect of the tribes around them for they protect those lesser beings who
send them offerings of green twigs and incantations.
Tuatara tend to live in deep water or in caves - places where many fear to
go for the sense of danger is great there. They are very comfortable in
water and those which protect have been known to save their supplicants
when the tribe members become endangered while near the water.
Lodoss leads the Tuatara race.
