In too far, in too far
In too far, deadly
All in the castle of Death
— Strode the brave sent'nels
"Rescue the residents!
Charge the thieves!" he said:
Into the castle of Death
— Strode the brave sent'nels."Rescue the residents!"
There were no dissidents
Not though the posse knew
— They were outnumbered
Their's not to make reply,
Their's not to reason why,
Their's but to do and die:
Into the castle of Death
— Strode the brave sent'nels.Brigands to right of them,
Brigands to left of them,
Brigands in front of them
— Pummelled and pounded
Besieged by the criminal
Enforcing laws cardinal
Into a vipyrs' nest
Into fights terminal
— Strode the brave sent'nels.Slashed, all their halberds bright,
Slashed as they fought for right,
Smashing the bandits there,
Facing the horde while
— All the worlds wondered:
Broke down a mighty door
Knocked villains to the floor
Gorgon and Devil
Always there were some more
— Battered and Thundered
Then they turned back, but not
— Not the whole lot'f themBrigands to right of them,
Brigands to left of them,
Brigands behind them
— Pummelled and pounded
Besieged by the criminal
With Death almost liminal
Their chances were marginal
Came through the vipyrs' nest
Their pursuers were caninal
All that was left of them,
— Left of the posse. When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
— All the worlds wondered.
Honour the charge they made,
Honour the Sentinels
— Noble defenders.
