This skill allows you to apply a prepared poison to your weapon. The effects upon your foe depend on the poison applied.
Applying poison to a weapon is an evil act.

Notes
This skill allows you to apply various poisons to an edged weapon. The weapon must be on the ground and the poison in your inventory for the skill to work. Poison lasts only for a few swings and must constantly be reapplied, which is one of the reasons it's not used more often. A poisoned weapon can also be used to enhance the skill arterial slash, making it deal poison damage instead of physical damage (poison as in the damage type, not the status). Currently the best known poison is Cyllyl Blood. The corpse of any enemy that was poisoned will still be poisoned, and will poison anyone who eats it. Also, only certain weapons can be poisoned. Bludgeons, staves, and ranged weapons are currently unpoisonable. Bludgeons and staves will not accept the poison, while on ranged weapons and ammo, there will be no effect from the poison. At the same time, as the help suggests, poisoning the weapon makes the weapon aligned, so it cannot be wielded by a good aligned being (only neutral or evil), giving the message "Only evil people use poison against their foes!"
